Google Chrome – The Fast and Secure Web Browser App Reviews

When Google develops an app, youd expect a flawless product considering all the funds they have to work on it. Chrome is touted as the fastest browser when it actually feels like a potato-powered disaster. It crashes on SBNation, it crashes on NBAs official site, it even crashes on their own web sites like YOUTUBE. 2 stars seems pretty kind for a product that performs so badly. I dont know about the Google big shots but I think I will start to support a smaller browser from now on.

I love this app, its better then Safari, but I found a pretty bad glitch. I went to search up something on YouTube, but it kept automatically reloading the page repeatedly, so I closed the tab and tried in a new tab, and it didnt work. I tried shutting off the app, that didnt work. So I can only hope that restarting my phone will work.

You didnt get the lesson when the power users on the desktop versions went crazy last year when you destroyed bookmark functionality? So you took the same, lame concepts and stuffed them into the mobile versions? The lack of intelligence combined with the hubris of your developers is frankly astonishing. No more room for Chrome on MY iPad, gang.

In this age and time, Google chrome for iPad doesnt have casting ability.. Its just disappointing. Any hope in near future?? Does someone looks into these comments?

Cant believe they wont let me cast from my iOS (iPhone 6 plus) using the chrome browser to my chromecast. Boycott this app till they do.

I cant believe that this new update crashes my browser each and every time I try to open it, the way it does. Not only is this my primary browser, Im going to Amsterdam in two days and I need this fixed before then. What am I going to do now?

This latest update has completely corrupted the app. The browser instantly crashes to the home screen when attempting to open.

I literally cannot navigate the web using this app since the swipe gestures are unbelievably unintuitive. God forbid you get a back or refresh button, rather it need to swipe down, hold, then swipe to the left in the same movement, which takes about 5 - 7 seconds longer than simply pushing 1 button. I really miss the old web when bored developers didnt force useless features on unwilling participants.

I imported my bookmarks from Safari and they were in alphabetical order on safari and in chrome they are now listed z-a not a-z order. Not a deal breaker but pretty annoying when shifting to a new browser should be a simple process.

"Bug fixes"? The latest update completely broke the "print to Google Drive" capability, a function I rely upon daily to upload web pages and docs as PDFs for later printing. The app quite often hangs up when loading pages (it takes incredibly longer for loading of saved passwords to finish), and as I said, instead of fixing the print to cloud option, Googles solution was simply to remove the option. Its a pretty sad state of affairs when Googles browser doesnt work properly with Google Drive... And its probably asking for too much to add the ability to save/print directly to Dropbox (Googles competitor in the on-line storage arena). Also, as others have noted, Im now constantly logged out of sites after changing apps: why? All in all, the app seems headed in the wrong direction, by removing functionality that USED to work as advertised.

App was fine before updating to the April 20, 2016 version, now the app crashes upon opening on iPhone 6S on the latest iOS. UPDATE: I was only able to reset the crashing issue by doing a hard shut down of my phone. Never had to do that before...

April 21, 2016 - *sighs* Thanks a lot Google after I went to chrome flags to go back to old bookmark last month then today you had the nerve to bring the new bookmark when you updated the app. Im still NOT impressed with the new one. Now I cant use chrome flags to revert back to the way again because IT. IS. GONE. >_< Do us a favor and bring it back and this time have a toggle if we want the old bookmark or the new bookmark. Please give us choices. Well be happy. March 2016 -- Google, you are made making things worse! This new bookmarks update is making me do extra steps to save current webcomics. I LOVE the old way. Its faster to see what I have and I can delete old links to replace with new links. If it aint broke, dont go fixing it! Its awkward look at and chunky as its best. Please, please, please undo the update for all of us so we can content again!

Been using this app for years and finally the latest update makes it unusable for me on iPhone 6. Smh. App freezes then crashes to Home Screen.

Luckily, Im not having the same issues with crashing that many other users are (Im on an iPad 2 with current iOS) but Im pretty annoyed that I can no longer print to my Google Drive as a PDF. I rely on that and dont have any good alternatives now that I cant. Chromes mobile print as PDF was the main reason its been my default browser. It unfortunately doesnt ask before opening other apps like Safari does when noxious popups appear. Safaris reading list is especially convenient to bookmark links for later reading without having to open them first. At least Chrome still allows unlimited tabs (or at least a higher limit than Safari), for now. :p

Update broken !!! Please just leave something that works alone. I realize that new employees and recent college grads want to " improve" things and make it appear that hiring them was a wise move. Let me suggest pencil sharpening or dry erase eraser cleaning for the first year of their, oh so short career. Your giving loaded guns to children.
