Google Chrome – The Fast and Secure Web Browser App Reviews

The app takes forever to open. When it finally does it is stuck on a tab from over a week ago and I cant click to a new tab or scroll or anything. Its just frozen. I have to restart my phone just to get back to my home screen.

Hey Google! I dont know what kind of updates you did recently on the Chrome browser app, but it is very unstable on my iPad 2 now. Its slower, crashes often, and is completely inoperative on certain sites. Yet my Chrome browser still works fine on my Win7 laptop. Whatever you did, please change it back or fix it. Im about to switch back to Safari!

Been using Chrome for years. Tried others, but always ended up back on Chrome. I know Google may not be the best for your "information" but honestly this app does exactly what I need, so I cant complain. To those that do complain, its free and if you dont like it make your own web browser!

I dont understand why you changed the look of google, it was fine before, why did you change it? Even if you decided to change some things, why the look of it? Its just plain weird and almost unusable now. I cant differentiate between different links and dont know where to click. Please change it back. I dont know if its just an apple phone thing but please no, just no.

I simply cannot rate the Chrome iPad app well until they add a close all tabs option. Will have to use Safari until then because Safari has this feature.

This was okay but I still think Googles browser is better.

Does nothing better than safari on iOS dont waste time with this terrible app

Im not sure if its specific to particular sites but I have noticed that using chrome while using the stock podcast app will pause the podcast. Can this be fixed?

A: nothing. Im a huge fan of chrome on the PC, and less so on android, but the IOS port offers nothing special... 1. No one-hand zoom (in fairness this applies to most other IOS browsers as well). This is one of my biggest pet peeves about IOS in general: WHY THE $@?! DO I HAVE TO USE ENGAGE MY OTHER $&@! HAND TO ZOOM IN ON PAGE!!! Android allows you to universally zoom via a double click+slide gesture, enabling complete one handed operation. Google included this gesture in their IOS port of google maps (go ahead and try it), so why not chrome too? If they added this theyd win me back as a browser user. 2. Its not noticeably faster or snappier than other IOS browsers, 3. no "reader mode". Safari introduced this feature to me; and I really love it.

Chrome crashed on me once now it wont even open when I click on it. Updated my phone, restarted it, etc but it still wont open.

If not for the battery, Id use this by default. Also would love to see 3D Touch previews for links

Feeling so invaded. The more I reinstalled this app, the more time I was giving the hacker access to my extremely secured pathway of data on my five week old iPhone 7!!!! Everything!!! Ohhhh.... PLEASE Google STOP encouraging the G-board in the settings, think that helped as I had to reset security settings every time. I spent almost two hrs with a live tech support this afternoon. Guess the Apple Store isnt going to like me shortly. I also just purchased the Pro and I sync all my devices. I dont even want to give this app one star. I just purchased this iPhone 7, a Mini Pro and the Samsung Galaxy 7 edge!!!! I receive a response like that!!!!

Just updated my chrome on iOS 10. App barely works anymore and it takes a minute to load any tabs. Dont update if you want a usable chrome browser.

The guys from google do not have taste. The design is bad and many bugs.

There really isnt much point to this app on iOS. Dont get me wrong I love Chrome on the desktop. However apple forbade the use of any other browser engine in iOS app except for its own, webkit, so you arent getting the web engine that makes Chrome on the desktop rock. So that means, no WebM video, no WebRTC, and a host of other features that you use in Chrome that you never think about. So what you are basically left with is a Google wrapper around webkit, so you might as well just use Safari. Not Googles fault, they have to abide by apples rules.

Chrome works fine for a bit, then crashes. Usually when Im in Facebook and looking at another page and returning to Chrome; then black screen and I have to close it out and restart. This is on an iPad Mini 2 (also happens on my iPhone 6). Also, videos viewed through Chrome crash. Wassamatta, Google? Chrome works fine on my Windows 10 laptop. I just wish Chrome wasnt so ubiquitous.
