Sort of works....sometimes

Chrome works fine for a bit, then crashes. Usually when Im in Facebook and looking at another page and returning to Chrome; then black screen and I have to close it out and restart. This is on an iPad Mini 2 (also happens on my iPhone 6). Also, videos viewed through Chrome crash.
Wassamatta, Google? Chrome works fine on my Windows 10 laptop. I just wish Chrome wasnt so ubiquitous.
