Google Chrome – The Fast and Secure Web Browser App Reviews

Chrome is just too slow after a recent update. I blame the new "read it later" feature. Dreadfully slow, but the same urls return quickly in Safari and Dolphin. Reinstalling helps for a couple of mins, but then something happens and its back to being like dialup. Walk away and come back and its still loading the page. Please roll back recent updates. I miss my favorite browser!

After many tests, this version of Chrome is without a doubt useless while using wifi. Safari and other services work just fine on wifi.

Loved this app until I updated to iOS 10. Now when i scroll a word will highlight and the app crashes. Even after the latest update. I have sent numerous crash reports. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It is pretty useless. I certainly hope they fix this soon. Got a new update on Dec 5 and it is still randomly selecting text and crashing! This is now two months of being useless. Fix this now!!! It has been 5 months and this easily reproduced bug is still a problem. Try to read a long article and eventually a word will highlight and the app freezes. Come on it cant be that hard to fix!!!!!! Just got the 3-30-2017 update and the random selection-freeze bug is even worse! Come on fix this!!!!!

Since the update on March 13, the performance while connected to WiFi has been abysmal. Please fix!

Love Google, and Chome is my favorite browser, but for about a month or so the history hasnt been loading. As a test to see how long it would take if I were super patient, I waited about 10 minutes which resulted in no change—it continued to show the loading symbol/graphic. This is my only complaint though! Please fix it :)

I love the syncing all my desktop bookmarks and history with my iPhone. I recently upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7 and Im bummed that Chrome doesnt support 3D Touch for anything in the app. This has made me make the switch to Safari as my primary browser until this is implemented.

I will very happy if you add feature that lets you zoom in by double tapping and swiping up on the screen. As the Opera browser has.

The app is really fast and responsive, however the buttons are placed in terrible locations. The close all tabs and close page button are right where the new tab button is. I closed all 100+ of my tabs and I only got back 10-15. I would really pressure Apple to let google have the data compression feature on chrome again. But overall the app is really responsive.

The desktop version of this is obviously far superior, but this was a very good app for a long time. Recent updates have started to ruin the browsing experience. My biggest complaint is that I can no longer play audio from a video after closing out of a video. This was my favorite feature in this app because it allowed me to play the audio from YouTube videos while doing other things on my phone. Once I can start doing that again I will change my review to 5 stars!

Pages load about 10x longer than Safari when on wifi, but faster than Safari when using mobile data. Been that way since the update on March 14. This new version has the same issue. Used to use Chrome exclusively, but cant use it like this.

Chrome no longer loads pages with any speed at all while on Wifi. The initial call take upwards of 5 minutes to see any movement at all. No other installed iOS browsers I have can say they have this issue. Started probably 2 updates ago and I hoped todays would fix it but no such luck. Unusable.

I cannot believe another version has come out and the issue of unbearably slow wifi performance is still here. Chrome works fine on mobile data and all other apps work fine on mobile or wifi. It is just Chrome thats crazy slow in wifi, like dialup speeds. Please fix this. Youve been my go-to browser for years and now Im having to use Safari. :(

Chrome will still not load webpages while on 2.4GHz WiFi. LTE, 4G, and 5GHz WiFi all appear to work fine. Please fix this issue. Ill be using Mozilla or Safari until a new update is released.

So much better than Safari.

This was a great app with all of the syncing and auto fill, but lately it has been downloading data 100x slower than safari based on googles own Speedtest.

I have always enjoyed using chrome browser, unfortunately lately i have been using an alternative ever since it started crashing. The crash has started a few days ago. Upon clearing browsing history, something that i regularly do. Surprisingly, the app crashed. I tried running the app again and clearing my history, but the same occurred. Tha app simply crashed over and over. Closing the app and restarting it doesnt work. Restarting your phone does not solve the issue. I just updated the app and the problem persists. Im using an iPhone 6 OS version 10.2.1 Please fix this issue upon releasing the next update

Omg fix this issue. Every time I text wrap something it freezes. Im forced to open a new tab and theres no way to go back to the page I was working on. Its really annoying.

Every time you change for a minute to other app, it reloads the page. Especially you feel it, when you are in roaming or just out of the city and have a bad connection.
